Tianjin City Police Threaten to Take Ms. Li Yifen to a Forced Labor Camp for the Third Time

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Yifen, 45, lives at #31, 2nd Building, Leyuanli Neighborhood, Miyun Street, Nankai District, Tianjin City. She used to have various health problems, including back pain, headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome, and chronic sinusitis.

After practicing Falun Dafa, all her illnesses disappeared and her mind was also purified. Ms. Li conducts herself by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Falun Dafa fundamentally changed her.

After Jiang Zemin ordered the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to openly persecute Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, Ms. Li went to Beijing to appeal to the government for justice for Falun Dafa, but the police arrested her and sent her back to Tianjin City. She was illegally detained in a detention center in Tianjin for thirty days. After that, the police repeatedly visited and harassed her.

On new year's eve of 2001, the police deceived Ms. Li into going to a police station and then threatened her with a forced labor term if she refused to denounce Falun Dafa. Despite Ms. Li's effort to explain the facts about Falun Dafa to the police, they took her to a detention center. A guard at the detention center slapped her on the face because Ms. Li steadfastly continued to practice the Falun Dafa exercises. The head of the detention center, surnamed Liu, then sent Ms. Li to his office where he and and another guard closed the door and violently beat her up, hitting her on the head and face. Ms. Li was in shock and could not catch her breath for a long time.

Afterwards, Ms. Li was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. She suffered harsh physical abuse while in the forced labor camp, and was also forced to attend brainwashing sessions. She had to stay up until 2:00 or 3:00 a.m., and was forced to perform extra work shifts, including carrying bags of beans that weighted 50 kilograms. Ms. Li suffered extreme physical and mental torture.

In March 2003, Ms. Li Yifen was arrested at home by the police and was later sentenced to two years of forced labor.

During the pre-Olympic period, the Chinese communist regime intensified the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. At around 7:00 p.m. on May 6, police officers went to Ms. Li's home and attempted to arrest her. To avoid arrest, Ms. Li was forced to leave her home and become homeless.

On August 20, 2008, when Ms. Li was in Qing County, Heibei Province talking to people about the persecution against Falun Dafa, police again arrested her and detained her in the Qing County Detention Center. Ms. Li has since been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Recently, with shackles on her hands and feet, she was taken to the Qing County Hospital where she was force-fed through a tube. Ms. Li is weak and emaciated, yet, the police have threatened to put her in a forced labor camp again.
