(Clearwisdom.net) (Clearwisdom correspondent from Beijing) At around 3:00 p.m. on August 26, 2009, more than 10 people deceived 62-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiao Yaling into opening her door, under the pretense that they were to fix her water pipe. They then arrested her. They also searched Ms. Jiao's home and confiscated many of her belongings. These people were led by Shunyi District State Security leader Xi Lei and Shengli Police Station Deputy Director Wang Mingxia. Several in the group were from the Shengli Street Community Office and the Jianxin Southern Residence Neighborhood Committee. Ms. Jiao is now held in the Nihe Detention Center in the Shunyi District.
Around that same time, three other Falun Gong practitioners were also arrested and their homes were searched.
Ms. Jiao's husband, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cai Zhong is also 62 years old. On June 29, 2008, he was arrested under the pretext of security for the Beijing Olympics. The police told Mr. Cai's work unit to call Mr. Cai in to work. When he arrived at work, a number of policemen immediately forced Mr. Cai into a police vehicle. His home was ransacked soon after. Mr. Cai is still being held in the Fourth Brigade of Tuanhe Detention Center in Beijing.
Before Ms. Jiao retired she worked in the Rural Commercial Bank in Shunyi District. She worked very hard, and took on any assignment without complaining. Her supervisors and coworkers thought she was a wonderful person. Her husband Cai Zhong used to be a section manager in the Heating Supply Unit of West Shiyuan Residential Area in Shunyi District. Since he began practicing Falun Gong, he became very careful and responsible at work, and was very thoughtful towards others. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, because he would not give up his belief, Mr. Cai was demoted to work on the maintenance crew. He was already over 50 years old, yet had to climb stairs every day and take on the tasks that were difficult even by those who were much younger than he. Despite the unfairness he suffered, he never complained and still worked carefully and responsibly.
