(Clearwisdom.net) I am an 80-year-old practitioner from Heilongjiang Province. Last year, after my wife showed symptoms of dementia, I had to take care of her every day. I finally let go of the attachment to money and hired a caregiver to help me take care of her for half a day. This allowed me to go out to advise people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and validate the Fa.
Just over four months later, I have talked to more than 400 people and successfully convinced 356 to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I would like to share my experiences.
Over the past four years, I had only been able to encourage just over 70 people to quit the CCP, all of whom were my relatives. I thought that I wouldn't get into trouble or be reported if I talked to my relatives about the truth of Falun Dafa and doing the "three withdrawals" (withdrawing from the CCP and its two youth organizations). After overcoming the attachment to protecting myself and fear of clarifying the truth to people I didn't know, I used every opportunity to talk to everyone I met. They included division-level officials, bureau-level officials, cadres, retired officials and teachers, factory workers, farmers, and regular city residents.
Coming out to clarify the facts has also helped me eliminate some thought karma and human notions. Initially, I didn't want to approach two retired division-level officers because I thought they had been Party members for too long and it would be hard for them to accept the truth. However, both of them immediately quit after I talked to them. A retired bureau-level official told me after quitting the CCP, "I went to my local organization and told them not to deduct the Party membership dues from my pension anymore. I have quit [the CCP]." Another official said that after quitting the CCP, he persuaded many others, including his sons and grandchildren, to also do the "three withdrawals."
On the other hand, I didn't have any success when I tried to convince some of my old friends, colleagues, and classmates to quit the CCP. I have met seven people like that.
Teacher is next to me. With Teacher and the Fa, I have no fear. For three months last summer, I went to the front of a shopping mall to tell people the truth about Dafa.
