(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Yuan Fangzheng on a Protest Hunger Strike at the Etouwan Brainwashing Center
2. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Circumstances Regarding the Persecution of Mr. Liu Junbo
Mr. Liu Junbo from Xinbin Man Nationality Autonomous County was arrested on May 20, 2010, as he spoke with people about Falun Gong. The police took him to the Xinbin County Detention Center and intended to send him to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center.

3. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Hongling and Ms. Yang Yuhua Taken to a Detention Center
Ms. Song Hongling and Ms. Yang Yuhua from the Yingcheng Mine were arrested on May 22, 2010, as they distributed Shen Yun performance DVDs. Officers from the Yingcheng Police Station made the arrests and ransacked their homes. The police first ransacked Ms. Song's mother's home and then Ms. Song's home. Because the door of Ms. Song's home was locked, the police pried the door open, forced their way into her home ,and took a copy of a Falun Gong book and several Falun Gong-related CDs. The two practitioners were taken to the Majiagang Detention Center that same day.
4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Man Shujie and Ms. Zheng Liyan's Homes Ransacked
Agents from the Yushu City 610 Office and from the Domestic Security Division drove to the homes of Ms. Man Shujie and Ms. Zheng Liyan the morning of May 21, 2010, in an attempt to arrest them, but the two practitioners were not home. The invaders took Falun Gong books from Ms. Zheng's home.
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Held in Custody
A practitioner surnamed Yang and two other practitioners who live near Muqin Square were arrested on the afternoon of May 22, 2010, as they spoke with people about Falun Gong at Keshan Farm. The three practitioners are being held in custody at the farm.
6. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jin Yulian and Ms. Hou Lijie Arrested
Ms. Jin Yulian and Ms. Hou Yujie from Liutiao Town were arrested at around 9:00 p.m. on May 22, 2010, as they distributed information about Falun Gong in Guanyinge Village. Liutiao Town Police Station head Zhou Kai, Xu Naiwei, and others and took the two practitioners to the police station. They hung Ms. Jin by one arm to a heating pipe. Ms. Jin and Ms. Hou were taken to the Liaoyang City Detention Center that same night.

7. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Shuhua Arrested
Ms. Mu Shuhua was arrested on the morning of May 20, 2010, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Dazhuang market. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Taocun Town Police Station.
8. [Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiulan Held in a Brainwashing Facility
Ms. Li Xiulan, an employee of the Furnace Charge Company of the Jinan Iron & Steel Group, was taken to the Jinan City Law Center [a brainwashing facility] on May 20, 2010.
9. [Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Jing Donglin Subjected to Forced Labor
Lushan District 610 Office agents sent Mr. Jing Donglin to the Majialong Forced Labor Camp.
10. [Shanghai] Ms. Yu Peiying Arrested on the Evening of May 20, 2010
11. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhai Linya Awaits Trial
Ms. Zhai Linya was arrested on September 23, 2009. Boye County Procuratorate agents approved her official arrest on October 30, 2009. Ms. Zhai was incarcerated in the Li County Detention Center where she remains. Boye County Court Officials were scheduled to try her on May 25, 2010.
12. [Tianmen, Hubei Province] Ms. Pan Fengju and Ms. Jiang Zhongqin Arrested
Ms. Pan Fengju and Ms. Jiang Zhongqin from Tianmen City were arrested on May 16, 2010. The two practitioners are now in the Tianmen City Detention Center.
13. [Xianyang, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Lu Yizhong Arrested
Mr. Lu Yizhong from Xianyang is retired from the 102 Storage. He was arrested the morning of May 20, 2010. His family discovered his absence when returning at noon.
14. [Yongzhou, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Shujuan Awaits Trial
Lingling District Court officials tried Ms. Wang Shujuan on February 25, 2010. Her lawyer entered a plea of not guilty. The court officials did not announce the verdict at the conclusion of that day's trial for lack of evidence. We have learned that they will announce the verdict around May 25, 2010. Ms. Wang has had high blood pressure in the detention center.

15. [Guilin, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Cao Xiaorong Incarcerated in a Brainwashing Facility
16. [Emeishan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Bi Fengzhen Held in a Brainwashing Facility
Ms. Bi Fengzhen, a retired Emeishan City Machine-made Brick Factory employee, was taken to the Dashiqiao Brainwashing Center in Leshan on May 18, 2010. Participating in the arrest was a group of six people, including Tong Dengjun, Eshan Town Party secretary, and officers from the Leshan City 610 Office and from the Maluqiao Police Station.
17. [Hengshui, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jinghao and Several Others Arrested
Mr. Wang Jinghao was arrested on May 18, 2010, as he spoke with others about Falun Gong in the countryside. Officers from the Wugong Police Station made the arrest. He was taken to the county police department and released two days later.
Ms. Wang Xingkai and Ms. Yin Sunan were arrested on the evening of May 19, 2010, as they posted information about Falun Gong in public. They were taken to the Domestic Security Division, and their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated computers and printers. The two women are still in the county police department.

18. [Beijing] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Li Fengqin
Ms. Li Fengqin, formerly employed by the Beijing University of Technology, previously served seven years in the Beijing Women's Prison. Officers from the Chaoyang Police Department arrested her on the evening of April 28, 2010. The police also confiscated more than 1,000 yuan cash.
19. [Shanghai] Mr. Cao Hongru Held in Custody for Two Months
Mr. Cao Hongru, 69, from the Changning District, was arrested on the evening of March 28, 2010, as he left home. His family has not received any information about him.
Mr. Cao was previously incarcerated in a brainwashing facility and later on served three years in Tilanqiao Prison. Because he has remained steadfast in his belief in Falun Dafa, he was incarcerated in a mental hospital for a period of time.
