More than 20 officers from the 610 Office, Wuhua Domestic Security Division, and Daguan Police Station broke into Ms. Wu Yun's home when her son returned home from school on August 27, 2010. They began ransacking the home at around 11:00 a.m. Over 20 police officers and plainclothes officers entered the home, including six or seven armed police carrying rifles and pistols. The ransacking lasted over five hours, and the police took many photos and video throughout the house. During the process Ms. Wu clarified the facts about Falun Gong to them, but she was ultimately taken away. She has been detained in the Wuhua District Detention Center for nearly six months.
